Today, we went to Colonial Zone to do some street ministry. Originally, we were going to do our skit and the Gospel presentation with sketch board but because of the location, it was actually prohibited by the government without a permit. At first, we were a little discouraged because our plans were stopped. However, God had different plans for us. We decided to go out in 4 groups with a bunch of Gospel bracelets and share the Gospel with people in the park. This was another stretching of our comfort zones but well worth it. The students did such a fabulous job approaching people, presenting the Gospel, and praying with complete strangers. As a result, 4 people gave their life to Christ! When we get down about our plans being stopped, we need to know God is sovereign and He has a better plan and a bigger plan at work.
After our morning of street ministry and a long week, we went to the beach for a couple of hours to relax. In the evening, Time Ministries held a banquet thanking both of the teams here for giving up their week to build a church and invest in the people in Dominican Republic. It was wonderfully done and such a great time!
Tomorrow, we go to church in the church we built. We will be leading worship, speaking, and washing feet. Please pray for our team as we are feeling tired. We want to go out with a bang and do not want anything to stand in the way of our witness. Thank you, all!
