Facilities Leader

Serves as a backup for the Facilities Director, helps recruit others for the team if they see a gifting in someone that is beneficial to a need in facilities, leads or delegates projects, and provides a property needs assessment to Facilities Director. Looking for an individual that is confident in hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, use of tools, and general handyman skills. Time commitment varies based on weekly needs. Meets with Facilities Director at least once a month with an execution plan for facility needs. Ages 18+

Floor Master

Responsible for quality control over floor needs. Cleaning requirements include spot treatments, mopping, carpet cleaning, and detailed baseboard work when needed. Assists in recruiting others for the team, leading or assigning projects, and providing feedback on needs to the Facilities Director. Looking for an individual that is confident in hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, and use of tools. Time commitment varies based on availability. Meets with the Facilities Director at least once a month, and is able to provide a weekly flooring needs assessment and execution plan. Ages 18+

Glass Master

Responsible for the quality control and oversight of window cleanliness. Assists in recruiting others for the team, leading or assigning projects, and providing feedback on needs to the Facilities Director. Looking for an individual that is confident in hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, use of tools, has an eye for detail, and hates dirty windows! Time commitment varies based on availability. Meets with the Facilities Director at least once a month, and is able to provide a weekly window needs assessment and execution plan. Ages 18+

Housekeeping

Serve by helping clean classrooms, restrooms, and various other spaces within the building as needs arise. This is a great place to be if you are a behind-the-scenes person and would like to serve midweek. Looking for people with the ability to work independently, pay attention to detail, and follow directions. Requires one to three hours per week and after special events, based on your availability. Ages 16+

Maintenance Specialist

Completes maintenance projects as needed. Assists in recruiting others for the team, leading or assigning projects, and providing feedback on needs to the Facilities Director. Looking for an individual who is a self-starter and problem solver that is confident in hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, use of tools, and has general handyman skills. Time commitment varies based on availability. Meets with the Facilities Director at least once a month, and is able to provide a weekly maintenance needs assessment and execution plan. Ages 18+

Painting Specialist

There are a number of painting and “patchwork” needs around our building that arise during any given week. Looking for individuals with strong, exceptional painting skills and professional experience! Time commitment varies based on needs and personal availability. Ages 18+

Baptismal Team

Each time a baptism is scheduled, the baptismal must be set up no later than the previous Friday and broken down no later than 24 hours after the second service. Looking for a minimum of two individuals that are comfortable climbing tall ladders to the storage area and lifting cumbersome, though not heavy, materials. Requires one hour each for setup and breakdown, once a quarter. Ages 18+

Landscaping

If you enjoy planting flowers and maintaining flowerbeds, join us as we enrich our church environment and keep our outdoor space beautiful and tidy. Looking for anyone with a green thumb. Requires one to two hours per week based on personal availability. Ages 16+

Construction

Sometimes we have a need for various building projects that may include constructing a wall or drywall work. Looking for individuals with construction experience. Time commitment varies based on church needs and personal availability. Ages 18+

Power Wash Master

Power washing is a need to maintain the cleanliness of our building’s exterior. Looking for individuals that are confident in hands-on mechanical work, diagnostics, and use of tools. Time commitment varies based on availability. Meets with the Facilities Director at least once a month, and is able to provide a weekly power washing needs assessment and execution plan. Ages 18+

Events Coordinator

This person will work closely with the Special Events Coordinator or Staff for large events hosted at the church to ensure that material needs are provided and appropriately set up before and broken down after an event (ie. chairs, tables). Assists in recruiting others for the team, leading or assigning projects, and providing feedback on needs to the Facilities Director. Looking for individuals that are organized, administratively gifted, flexible, and able to lift heavy objects. Due to the fact that the time commitment will vary based on the events schedule, we ask that this be an individual’s primary, if not only, area of service. Many, though not all events, are typically scheduled on the weekends or at night. Ages 18+

Chair Management

The auditorium chairs withstand heavy traffic each Sunday, and need to be assessed for damage, cleaning, deodorizing, and realignment. Looking for individuals that are comfortable executing the previous list and have an eye for creating straight lines. Requires one to two hours per week based on personal availability. Meets with the Facilities Director at least once a month, and is able to provide a weekly chair needs assessment and execution plan. Ages 18+

Organizer

There are a number of storage spaces in the church that need to be organized and maintained. Looking for an individual that can work independently and loves organizing, labeling, and sorting. Time commitment varies based on the project and personal availability. Ages 18

Southbrook Student's Production

Our production team is responsible for running the lights and sound during youth services. Looking for individuals who are comfortable running those technical programs from an iPad. Requires attendance each Wednesday night starting at 4:30PM. Ages 12+

Southbrook Kids' Supply Runner

Collecting supplies for our weekly projects is a big job! Looking for individuals with reliable transportation that can make decisions quickly while shopping. One year minimum time commitment. Ages 18+

Southbrook Kids' Supply Team

All of our teaching materials must be ready to go before Sunday. Our Supply Team works with the Receptionist on duty to gather, prep, and set up materials for Southbrook Kids. Typically needed on Thursdays. One year minimum time commitment. Ages 18+

Southbrook Kids' Classroom/Group Leaders

Our children need care and attention while learning so the teacher can fully focus on the lesson. Looking for caring individuals that can also be direct to manage the children once they join their appropriate age group. Requires one service, two Sundays per month. Adults 18+

Southbrook Kids' Teen Helpers

These helpers assist the classroom/group leaders and engage the children when needed. Looking for fun teenagers that love to work with kids. Requires both services, two Sundays per month. Ages 12-17

Southbrook Kids' Dancer

Dancers work in partnership with the worship leaders. Looking for anyone who loves to dance and can take direction. Requires one service, two Sundays per month. Ages 4th grade +

Southbrook Kids' Production

We have a production component in our Harbor Town and Club 45 groups. Looking for tech savvy individuals with experience in lights, Pro Presenter, and sound. Requires both services, once a month. Ages 12+
 (accompanied by an adult)

Equipment Operators

A team of people behind the scenes making the weekend work by running lights, cameras, presentation software, and more. Training provided. Looking for individuals with an ability to follow directions. Needs to have a good eye for composition and fluid camera movement if interested in camera operation. Requires one weekend a month for both the 9:00AM and 11:00AM services. Ages 16+

Graphics

This team is passionate about creating visually stimulating media to support the message. Proficiency with Photoshop and/or Creative Suite required. Time commitment will vary based on each week’s needs. Individuals can work on their own time during the week to complete tasks. Ages 16+

Communion Team

This team sets trays, fills juice cups, and cuts bread for both services. Looking for individuals to serve the third Sunday of each month and special days (ie. Easter). Arrival time is 7:45AM. Ages 18+

Photographers

We would love to have photos of our events, including baptisms. Looking for experienced individuals that can provide examples of previous work. Requires one Sunday or event per month as needed. Ages 21+

Count Team

The Count Team is responsible for counting all tithes and offerings. Each week working as a team they collect funds, prepare reports and deposit slips. Team members must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality and reliability, and must have a consistent history of tithing. Looking for detail oriented, systematic individuals that feel confident with Excel, data entry, calculators, and counting. Count Team members serve one or two Sundays per month, attend the 9:00AM service, and serve from 10:45AM-12:45PM. Ages 18+

Growth Group Administrator

This position is ideal for an individual with sharp administrative gifts and passions.  If you can help your Growth Group Leader with communicating to group members, help plan group events, service, or mission projects then this is for you. Looking for individuals with computer skills to pass on information regarding details necessary for their group to Connect, Grow, Serve, and Invest. Requires a maximum of one hour per week. Adults 18+
