Care

Throughout life, everyone will face times of personal crisis, difficulty, illness, or relationships that are strained or broken. It’s during these times that we all need comfort and to have others walk with us. The Care Ministry provides a variety of helpful resources, services, and trained volunteers to help you during those times. If you need counseling, prayer, benevolence, visitation, handyman services, or marriage/premarital counseling, please fill out the form below.

Our mission is to help every couple have a God honoring and thriving marriage that impacts others for generations. Ephesians 5:22-33; Genesis 2:18, 24

Most marriages start out romantic and about loving to be together, but as most couples will tell you, drifting apart later on is not only easy, it happens to most married couples.  Job demands, kids and busy lifestyles get in the way. In fact 80% of married couples say that they are surviving but are not thriving in their marriage.  We want to come alongside you before things get really difficult and give you the tools and attention that will help you connect consistently deeper and have a God honoring marriage.

Our mission is to make sure everyone is cared for, and that no one walks alone. Galatians 6:10; Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 and Acts 2:44-45

Here at Southbrook we believe in prayer being an integral part of a believer’s walk and we have various ways that we offer the opportunity to receive and also participate in prayer.

Sunday mornings are an essential part of our corporate worship experience and as a part of our time together, we have a prayer team comprised of members who are available to pray with you before, or after the service each week.  They are ready and willing to pray with you for anything you may need to pray through. In addition to times of corporate prayer, we have times of guided prayer and opportunity to seek out a prayer team member to pray with you.

We have a team who pray over any needs which come to our attention outside of a Sunday morning. If you have an emotional, physical or practical need you are welcome to utilize either the cards you receive at the worship service on your seat or,  go on line and fill out a request form about your specific need.  We would be happy to pray for you!

Our mission is to promote and model personal as well as corporate prayer by placing radical dependence on God and experiencing life giving, deeper intimacy with God. We will be a church who prayerfully seeks God for things only He can do and gets the glory for. II Chronicles 7:14; Isaiah 56:7; James 5:16; Mark 1:35 and Luke 7:9

  • Bridge partners are available to visit for those who are hospitalized or undergoing surgery. Our goal is to provide a Southbrook presence, offer prayers of faith and share words of encouragement.

  • Sometimes, we are in need of meals and more because a family member is in the hospital, a sickness or just going through a difficult time. We have a team in place to prepare those meals and deliver to you.

  • A word of encouragement and keeping in touch can go a long way to comfort those who are sick or grieving, celebrate a joyous occasion, and share God’s love.

  • Handy people provide tangible improvements in the lives of others. These volunteers assist with small repairs of house or car that one cannot complete on their own.

  • There are times when we could use a little something extra. That extra heart can be baskets and bundles created for new moms to sunshine bags for chemo treatments.

  • Provides tangible and emotional care for those going through a time of loss. We want to make sure no one walks through this difficult time alone.

Our mission is to come alongside people who have hurts, habits, and hang ups, and discover together how God can bring hope, healing, and healthy relationships through the freedom that comes through Christ and His word. Romans 7:18; Philippians 2:1; Lamentations 3:40; James 5:16 and Galatians 5:13, 6:1

Celebrate Recovery is for people who have afflictions not just addictions. It's for people who have hurts that don't seem to get completely healed, for habits that seem impossible to get over, and hangups that never go away.  Celebrate Recovery is for all of us. During the stay-at-home order, we will be starting online groups. Nothing is required for you but to show up (online) with an open mind and heart.  We will meet in small groups for men and small groups for women. There is always a small group for first time attenders so you can get the basic overview of what Celebrate Recovery is and isn't.  Visit their website for more information.
