One of our values is Prayerful Dependence. We will be a people who prayerfully seek God for the things only He can do so that He gets the glory. During the week of January 12, we invite the church to come together for intentional prayer over our community and the upcoming ministry year. On Sunday, January 12, we will begin our prayer within each service. On Monday - Friday, we are coming together in the main worship center for a pastoral devotion and guided prayer from 6-7am. We will wrap up the week on Saturday, January 18 with some ideas and suggestions for prayer from home.
Saturday Prayer
Prayer Focus:
- Growing in Christ by prioritizing time in God's Word
Scripture Reading:
- Psalm 119:9-11 & 1 Peter 2:2-3
Reflection and Prayer:
- Pray for a renewed desire to grow deeper in your relationship with Jesus
- Ask the Lord to stir in you a passion for His Word
- Consider specific ways you can prioritize more time reading and reflecting on God's Word
Activity Suggestions:
- Have your reflection and prayer time with a group; for example, as a family around the table before or after a meal.
- Pick at least one verse from the Scriptures above and write it out. Take it with you on a walk and meditate on the truth(s) of that verse and how you can apply them to your life.
- Identify a specific time each day to read and reflect on God's Word. Ask a family member or friend to do the same and then meet at the end of the week to discuss what you learned from your time in the Scriptures.
