We exist to minister to the families of Southbrook Church through the spiritual development of students and their parents. The Student Ministry will strive to: worship Christ, equip students with the gospel, build community that allows them to be known and cared for, and effectively send them out into the world to make a big deal of Jesus where we live, learn, work, and play.

Sunday | 5-7:15pm | Student Groups | 6th-12th Grade

This weekly opportunity begins with free food and social time (40 minutes) before we assemble together for student led worship, announcements, and a time of large group teaching (40 minutes). Then students are released into small groups for adult-led study and discussion for the remainder of our time together. They are split into 8 groups (6th-grade boys, 6th-grade girls, 7th-8th grade boys, 7th-8th grade girls, 9th-10th grade boys, 9th-10th grade girls, 11th-12th grade boys, and 11th-12th grade girls). In these groups they have discussions based around the sermon and passage of scripture that was taught during the large gathering or we also give the freedom to the group of students and their leaders to decide on doing a study or training based around the Bible that is separate. We believe and trust our great leaders to help the students be guided to what they might need most for themselves and their growth spiritually. Students are encouraged to bring their own hardcopy bible, notebook, and a pen.

Student FAQ's

What grades are included in Southbrook Students?

Southbrook Students is for all students currently in the 6th - 12th grade. We do not have fully separated Middle and High School ministries, but choose to invest part our time cultivating relationships across grade levels while also setting aside part of our time for age appropriate and gender specific discussions.

What are the Sunday Night Meals?

On Sunday Nights, we offer a “pizza meal” for students free of charge. This includes a couple slices of pizza (gluten free also available) along with snacks and a drink. We know that Sunday afternoons can seem short so we see this as a way to bless and serve our parents and students!
